The low country refers to an area of coastal South Carolina running from the Savannah River to north of Charleston. It is a beautiful place where the pace of life is slower, water is warm and even the gators are friendly.

I have been involved with software in one form or another for over 20 years. It all started with a TRS 80 Model I, in a small back room at my high school. Along the way, I have worked on embedded systems, everything from 8-bit micro controllers to multi-card data switches. I have developed applications on Unix, Windows and mainframes. Done plenty of C, C++ and C# but also Python, Perl, REXX and others. I’ve been a consultant, an developer, a Field Application Engineer, and all sorts of other things.

After many years in design, I recently became part of the Customer Education Services at Wind River Inc. where I attempt to entertain while teaching about VxWorks and On-Chip Debug (aka emulators).
